About the Event

Digital Decode is an exciting 1-hour competition designed for school students. Participants will work in teams to solve a series of jumbled clues stored on a computer. These clues will guide them through different levels and ultimately to a locked RAR file. The first team to unlock the RAR file with the correct password wins! The competition emphasizes speed, accuracy, and teamwork. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams.

Event Flow

1. Introduction & Briefing (5 mins):
   • Welcome participants and introduce the competition.
   • Explain rules, guidelines, and judging criteria.
   • Introduce judges and clarify doubts.
2. Setup & Access (2 mins):
   • Each team will be seated at a computer.
   • Desktop will have two files: a Notepad document with the first jumbled clue and a locked RAR file (final stage).
3. Clue Decoding – Progression Rounds (30 mins):
   • Teams solve the first jumbled clue from the Notepad file.
   • Each correct solution leads to the next clue, possibly in a different folder.
   • Clues may include riddles, logic puzzles, ciphers, or word jumbles.
   • Continue until all clues are solved.
4. Final Stage – RAR Unlock (10 mins):
   • The last clue provides the password for the locked RAR file.
   • The first team to unlock the RAR file and reveal the final key wins.
5. Winner Declaration & Closing (15 mins):
   • Judges verify solutions and timings.
   • Announce the top three winners.
   • Distribute certificates and prizes.

Judging Criteria

• Speed & Accuracy: First team to unlock the RAR with correct password scores highest.
• Clues Solved: Number of correct solutions before final RAR.
• Tie-breaker: If multiple teams finish together, total time per clue will be considered.

Guidelines for Participants

• Each team should consist of 2–3 members.
• Teams should arrive at least 15 minutes before the event.
• All tasks must be completed within allocated time.
• Judges’ decision is final.
